When I began this campaign in May, I could not have imagined how these months of engaging with you would challenge and inspire me. Edmonton never disappoints—your feedback, engagement and passion have made me better, made our ideas better, and made the public discourse better.
I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to every person who has engaged with me, and to all of the volunteers, donors and supporters who have carried this campaign on their shoulders over the course of the past five months. Your support has meant the world to me.
Of course, it’s not over yet! This election is still very close and we need you to get out there and vote. Polls are open until 8 pm tonight across the city. Find your polling station here.
And remember: as long as you’re in line at your polling station by 8 pm, you can vote even if the line-up is long.
I also want to take a moment to extend my thanks and best wishes to my fellow mayoral candidates for running a great race. Campaigning during the pandemic has been challenging for all of us, but I have appreciated the camaraderie and conversations we’ve had.
To everyone who put their name forward for a Council or Trustee race, congratulations on all you have accomplished. No matter the outcome of today’s election, you’ve made a vital contribution to our city and should be very proud of your campaign.
I’m so grateful for this experience and everything it has taught me. I am looking forward to seeing the results tonight.
Please vote!
