Ward Information
In June 2009, Council approved a new electoral system: beginning in the 2010 election, there will be twelve Wards, with one Councillor per Ward.
The previous Ward 6 has been split into three new Wards. Amarjeet is running for re-election in the new Ward 12.
Ward 12
Ward 12 includes the entire area that falls south of Whitemud Drive and east of 50 Street. Further south, it also includes the entire area south of Anthony Henday Drive and east of Gateway Boulevard.
Ward 12 includes the following neighbourhoods:
- In Mill Woods: Bisset, Crawford Plains, Daly Grove, Minchau, Pollard Meadows, Weinlos
- In Burnewood: Jackson Heights, Kiniski Gardens
- In The Meadows: Larkspur, Silver Berry, Tamarack, Wild Rose
- In Ellerslie Area: Charlesworth, Ellerslie, Summerside, The Orchards, Walker
