Nominate your good neighbour!

2011

Safe, vibrant and inclusive communities are created through the countless efforts and actions of community members. Good neighbours help build great neighbourhoods. Good neighbours are the people whose actions, large or small, improve the quality of life of individuals and the community.

The Good Neighbour Awards are a way for Edmontonians to formally recognize the people who make Edmonton neighbourhoods great places to live. Their actions – from shovelling a walk to organizing a block party – help create safer, more connected neighbourhoods and model how each of us can make a positive difference in our communities. From small gestures to big actions, tell us what your good neighbour does that would inspire other Edmontonians to get to know their neighbours. Good Neighbours are individuals of any age, couples, families or groups.

Edmontonians can nominate their neighbours online or pick up a nomination form at any Edmonton Public Library branch. Nominations close March 31, 2011.

One Good Neighbour will be chosen from each of Edmonton’s 12 electoral wards. Recipients will be recognized at a special ceremony to be held at City Hall on May 5 as part of Connections 2011, a City of Edmonton trade show style event connecting Edmontonians to City projects, programs and services that are making our neighbourhoods great.

It is nice when the whole neighborhood are working together towards the community's goals. Cooperation from every member of the community is important. concrete cleaning Sydney
