Crawford Plains Neighbourhood Rehabilitation
28
2011
As part of Council's Neighbourhood Renewal Program (a designated fund we use to rehabilitate aging neighbourhood infrastructure throughout the City), Crawford Plains is being rehabilitated this summer. Construction should start on June 30. The construction consists of spot road base repair and grinding and re-surfacing of the road. City of Edmonton Transportation Services will also perform preventative maintenance on the sidewalk, including sidewalk mud jacking, grinding and patching of selected panels of walkway.
Before work begins on your street, you'll receive a bulletin, with estimated start and end dates for construction, from the contractor assisting the City with this project.
While construction is underway, one lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained at all times, under flagperson control. The roadway will be closed on selected days to facilitate asphalt paving. No parking will be permitted in signed areas. Access to businesses, residences and alleys will be maintained, where possible, at all times. Emergency access will be maintained at all times. All residents are being asked to access their homes through the alleys, where possible, for the majority of use during paving operations.
If you have access requirements you feel won't be facilitated by these conditions (such as DATS use), please let the City know (you can contact my office or dial 3-1-1).
Note that all ramping devices (rubber mats, concrete fill in gutters or otherwise) used to improve access into front driveways must be removed by homeowners prior to construction, since the contractor will need to remove any remaining ramping devices left on the roadway when they begin work on a street.
Let my office know if you're experiencing any difficulties as a result of the construction.
