Africa Connect will be a unique opportunity for Edmontonians to share, experience and learn about the African Culture through information sessions, music, dance, art and more! Our city is widely recognized for its artistic and cultural diversity. Help enhance Edmonton’s reputation as a culturally diverse and vibrant city that celebrates the arts.
Goals of AfricaConnect:
- acknowledge, encourage and empower African-Canadian community leaders.
- promote a greater knowledge of and respect for the diverse heritage and culture of people of African descent, and to celebrate the gifts they bring to our city.
- provide members of local African communities an opportunity to showcase their rich and diverse cultures and countries of origin.
- provide an opportunity for the City of Edmontonand other community service providers to exchange information about resources and services available to African communities and learn more about the issues each face.
